Please read these 2 poems and write a comparison summary on them. I know it's too long but take your time to answer the question. (Don't answer unnecessarily just for some points, I will report those type of answers)

I love to rise in a summer morning,
When the birds sing on every tree;
The distant huntsman winds his horn,
And the skylark sings with me:
O what sweet company!

But to go to school in a summer morn,-
O it drives all joy away!
Under a cruel eye outworn,
The little ones spend the day
In sighing and dismay.

Ah then at times I drooping sit,
And spend many an anxious hour;
Nor in my book can I take delight,
Nor sit in learning's bower,
Worn through with dreary shower.

How can the bird that is born for joy
Sit in a cage and sing?
How can a child, when fears annoy,
But droop his tender wing,
And forget his youthful spring!

O father and mother if buds are nipped,
And blossoms blown away;
And if the tender plants are stripped
Of their joy in the springing day,
By sorrow and care's dismay,-

How shall the summer arise in joy,
Or the summer fruits appear?
Or how shall we gather what griefs destroy,
Or bless the mellowing year,
When the blasts of winter appear?

.

When I was young, I went to school

With pencil and foot rule

Sponge and slate,

And sat on a tall stool

At learning’s gate.

When I was older, the gate swung wide;

Clever and keen-eyed

In I pressed,

But found in the mind’s pride

No peace, no rest.

Then who was it taught me back to go

To cattle and barrow,

Field and plough:

To keep to the one furrow,

As I do now?

Please take your time to answer this! And unnecessary answers will be reported!

Answer:

In the first poem, the poet starts the stanza on a positive note, and praises the world. But soon enough, the mood of the poem changes and the poet describes his dislike of school and boredom. Also, the first poem's point of view is in the sense that the poet is presently narrating it.

The second poem's point pf view is in the manner that tells us the poet is narrating something that happened in the past. Unlike the first poem, the poet does not express his dislike of school but describes how he proudly studied with a slate in his hand while sitting on a  tall stool.

in the first poem, the poet inculcates a vibe that tells us he his pleading with the world not to rob him of his freedom and nip the flowers buds, which is used in a metaphorical sense. The poet asks and wonders why innocent minds are burdened with schoolwork when they should be free and playing in the fields( i know right? lolll )

in the second poem, the poet expressed the way in which he worked hard and let no peace and rest come to him. Also, the second poem is a story which has been converted to a poem and the tone of the poem is serious.
