Please reply ..Can i write following active voice into passive voice....1-the doctors operated on him for nearly 12 hours
As
-for nearly 12 hours he was operated on by the doctors -rather than-he wan operated on by the doctors for nearly 12 hours

Generally passive voice = subject + verb + object .

In this case , subject = he ; verb = operated ; object = the doctors

So , according to me , the way you have written is not wrong...its just little less right. (hope you get it)
