  • As per the data given in the question, we have to find the value of the expression.

        Given data:- 4\frac{3}{4} -2\frac{1}{2}.

        To find:- Value of the expression.

        Solution:-

  • We will take the LCM of the denominators, and make denominators the same.
  • We will Convert the given fractions to equivalent fractions with the denominator as the LCM.
  • Adding the numerators over the denominators.

             4\frac{3}{4} -2\frac{1}{2}\\\begin{array}{l}=(4-2)+\left(\frac{3}{4}-\frac{1}{2}\right) \\=2+\frac{3}{4}-\frac{1 \times 2}{2 \times 2} \\=2+\frac{3}{4}-\frac{2}{4} \\=2+\frac{3-2}{4} \\=2+\frac{1}{4}\\=\frac{9}{4} \end{array}

     Hence we will get the value \frac{9}{4} .
