Let the ages of Sophiya and her father be x and y respectively
x + 27 = y \: \: \: \: \: \: - - - (1)
 \frac{x + 5}{y + 5} = \frac{2}{5} \\ 5 x + 25 = 2y + 10 \\ 2y - 5x = 15 \: \: \: \: \: \: - - - (2)
substitute value of y from (1) in (2)
2(x + 27) - 5x = 15 \\ - 3x = - 54 + 15 \\ x = 18 - 5 \\ x = 13 \\ y = 40

Hence, the present ages of Sophiya and her father are 13 and 40 respectively
