Answer:

Sum of geometric progression whose common ratio r is greater than 1 is given by formula:

(a(r^n-1))/r-1

Put values in formula..

Sum =( 32(11.390625-1))/ 1.5-1

= 332.5/0.5

=665

The answer can be a bit different because I wrote decimals instead of fraction..but its nearly that. You can input and calculate in fraction if you want but 665 is not wrong.

If r was less than 1 , than formula of sum would have been ..( a(1-r^n))/1-r
