Question :-

• The Length breadth and height of a room are 5m 4m 3m respectively, find the cost of white washing the Wall of the room and the ceiling at the rate of 7.50 per metre square.

Given :-

• Length of Room = 5m
• Breadth of Room = 4m
• Height of Room = 3m
• Rate of Whitewashing = Rs,7.50per m²

To Find :-

• Cost of whitewashing the walls of the room and the ceiling.

Solution :-

➞ Area of 4 walls = 2 × height ( l + b )

➞ Area of 4 walls = 2 × 3 ( 5 + 4 )

➞ Area of 4 walls = 6 × 9

➞ Area of 4 walls = 54m²

➞ Area of ceiling = Length × Breadth

➞ Area of ceiling = 5 × 4

➞ Area of ceiling = 20m²

➞ Total Area = Ar of 4 walls + Ar of Ceiling

➞ Total Area = 54 + 20

➞ Total Area = 74m²

So, 74m² is to be whitewashed , Now

➞ Cost of whitewashing 1 m² = 7.50

➞ Cost of whitewashing 74m² = 7.50 × 74

➞ Cost of whitewashing 74m² = Rs,555

________________

Therefore, Cost of Ceiling the walls of the room and the ceiling is Rs, 555
