Given Diameter of the pipe = 5mm at 10 m per minute.

Then the radius will be r = d/2

                                          = 5/2 mm

                                          = 5/2 * 1/10

                                          = 1/4 cm.

Given that Flow rate of water = 10m per minute

                                                  = 1000 cm/min.

Given that diameter of a conical vessel = 40cm.

Then the radius will be r = d/2 = 20cm.

Given that height = 24cm.

We know that volume of the water = pir^2h

                                                           = 22/7 * (1/4)^2 * 24

                                                           = 1375/7

                                                           = 196.42 cm^3.

Capacity of the vessel = 1/3pir^2h

                                      = 1/3 * 22/7 * (20)^2 * 24

                                      = 70400/7

                                     = 10057.142

Therefore the time required to fill the vessel = 10057.142/196.42

                                                                           = 51.2.

Hope this helps!
