So a teacher is a very respective person in our society. Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan was a teacher himself. He used to love his teacher very much and when he became president of India, some of his student and friend requested him to allow them to celebrate his birthday on 5th September.
He replied, “instead of celebrating my birthday it would be a proud privilege if September 5th is observed as teacher’s day”.
