Let Vijay present age be x
∴the present age of sushma=(x+15)years
(x+15)+3=3(x+8)
⇒x+18=3x+24
⇒8x-x=18+24
∴7x=42
x=42÷7=6
∴x=6
Vijay present age=6years
sushma present age=15+x=15+6=21years
