please send me debate on the topic advertisements are sweet lies with advantages and disadvantages

Explanation:
According to a survey, on an average a Multinational Company spends around $1Billion; each year; on advertisement.
This is quite a mind-boggling fact.
Good-morning Judges, Teachers and my fellow students. The topic before the house today, is “Advertising is a diplomatic way of telling lies”, and I’m here to speak ‘FOR’ the motion.
Advertisements not only tell us lies but very clever ones at that. These companies hire professionals who make a living telling lies(or making us believe lies). They have forged out a way by which they conveniently highlight the points completely useless to the consumer, while all the discrepancy’s are buttoned up and stored in the *Terms and conditions apply. And if by any chance there are no terms and conditions, as is the trend now-a-days for seemingly gaining the consumer’s trust, then they employ clever usage of words. These words, lead you down a road of thought different from what may be desired. Lets say I told you that this ‘xyz’ product will make your hair-fall rate decrease by up-to 99.99%.What does this mean? In 9 out of 10 case you would think that by using this product your hair-fall rate will decrease by 99.99%, but, when this doesn’t happen you can’t touch the company. Why? Because they cleverly used the word ‘up-to’ which can mean anything from 0% to 99.99%.
Companies try to keep you thinking about them by using catchy jingles and tunes or funny language. Its like the cup game, where the hand is faster than the eyes. Or in this case the words are faster than the brains.
Giving the word ‘diplomatic’ to these people would be giving too much credit to them. The bottom line for them is “publicizing the product in the best possible light”.
You might tell me-‘okay maybe some companies ARE lying, so what’s the big deal? A bit of money goes down the drain but then we stop trusting these thing’ to you my reply would be-‘true! That is the only outcome, everyone will one day stop trusting each other and ultimately the little bit of peace and harmony which still resides in the heart of men will vanish forever’.
I would end by asking all of you to think about the numerous instances when you were tempted by an advert to go to a shop and buy a product, come home and realize that it was nothing like depicted in the advertisement. This lying in the field of advertisement is so deep rooted that maybe only a few can manage to escape its wrath.
THANK YOU
