Then fraction is x/y
According to the question,
Denominator is 3 more than numerator
x+3 = y ___(1)

And,
x+5/y+5 = 4/5
cross multiply
5(x+5) = 4(y+5)
5x+25 = 4y+20
5x-4y = -5
5x-4(x+3) = -5 { from (1) }
5x-4x-12 = -5
x = 7
putting x = 7 in eq(1)
y = 7+3 = 10
x/y = 7/10
Hence the fraction is 7/10
