\huge{\bf{Ello!♡}}⭑⭑⭑

AnsWer:-

 \leadsto \bf{x = 3 \: and \: y = 5} \\

Solution:-

{ \sf{let \:  \frac{1}{x + y}  = p \: and \:  \frac{1}{x - y}  = q}} \\

Now, equation becomes;

{ \tt{16p + 2q = 1 \:  \:  \: .....(1)}} \\  \\ { \tt{8p - 12q = 7 \:  \:  \: .....(2)}} \\  \\ { \sf{solving \: these \: equations}}

and dividing equation (2) by 2

{ \tt{{ \cancel{16p }}+ 2q = 1}} \\  { \tt{{ \cancel{16p }}- 24q = 14}} \\  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:   \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:{ \tt{ q =  \frac{{ \cancel{14}}}{ \cancel{24} }}} \\  \\ { \bf{q =  \frac{</strong><strong>-</strong><strong>1}{2} }}

putting q= -1/2 into equation (1) and solving we get

{ \tt{16p +{ \cancel{ 2 }}\times  \frac{</strong><strong>-</strong><strong>1}{ \cancel{2} } = 1}} \\  \\ { \bf{p =  \frac{1}{</strong><strong>8</strong><strong>} }}

putting these into the above p and q values;

 { \tt{ \frac{1}{x + y}  =  \frac{1}{</strong><strong>8</strong><strong>} }} \\  \\  \leadsto \:{ \tt{ x + y = </strong><strong>8</strong><strong>}} \:  \:  \: ...(3) \\   { \bf{and}} \\   { \tt{\frac{1}{x - y}  =  \frac{</strong><strong>-</strong><strong>1}{2} }} \\  \\   \leadsto \:  { \tt{</strong><strong>-</strong><strong>x  </strong><strong>+</strong><strong> y = 2}} \:  \:  \: ...(4)

Solving equation (3) and (4);

-x+y=2

x+y=8

-2x=-6

x=6/2

x= 3 and y = 5
