so thus the number obtained by reversing digits is 10y+x

according to first condition

x+y=14 (1)

according to the second condition

10x+y+18=10y+x

ie 9x-9y=-18

so x-y=-2 (2)

adding (1) and (2)

we get 2x=12

ie x=6

substitute value of 6 in any of two equations

we get y=8

so our assumed two digit number=10x+y

=(10×6)+8

=60+8

=68

hence the required two digit number is 68
