Area of square = side × side = (100 × 100)m²

path is 2m wide ,

that means area of field , except path is

area = (100)² - (4)² [ as path is along all sides)

area = (100+4)(100-4) [ as a²-b² = (a-b)(a+b)

area = 104*96 = 9984m²

so, cost of grass = 15*9984 = Rs.149760 (Ans)
