Let the missing number be x.

Now,

The equation become:

2 \times \frac{x}{6}  + 4 \times \frac{5}{12}  = 6 \times \frac{7}{12}

 =  >  \frac{12 + x}{6}  +  \frac{53}{12}  =  \frac{79}{12} \\  taking \: lcm \\  =  >  \frac{2(12  + x) + 53}{12}  =  \frac{79}{12}

 denominator \: is \: same \: on \: both \: side  \\ therefore \: cancel \: out

 =  > 24 + 2x + 53 = 79 \\  =  > 77 + 2x = 79 \\  =  > 2x = 2 \\  =  > x = 1

U can verify it by simply putting the value of x in above equation
