<B = 75* - 40* = 35*.............(1)

in triangle AEC,  <A + <AEC + <ACE = 180*

                     => 40* + 2<AEC = 180*    ['.' AE=AC.  .'.<AEC = <ACE]

                    => <AEC = 70*............(2)

Now,   <AEC + <BEC = 180*   ['.' Linear Pair}

        => <BEC = 180* - <AEC = 180* - 70* = 110*..................(3)

in triangle BEC,  <B + <BEC + <BCE = 180*

                       => 35* + 110* +<BEC = 180*

                      => <BEC =35*............(4)

From (3) and (4),      <B = <BEC = 35*

.'. sides opposite to these angles are also equal to each other. i.e. BE = EC.
