5. Length of the side of each cube = 1cm

Volume of cube= side×side×side

So, volume of each cube = 1×1×1= 1 cu.cm

Now, in the 1st figure,

Total number of cubes= 72

Volume of each cube= 1 cu.cm

So, volume of the whole solid= (72×1) cu.cm= 72 cu.cm

Now, in the 2nd figure,

Total number of cubes= 19

Volume of each cube= 1 cu.cm

So, volume of the whole solid= (19×1)cu.cm = 19 cu.cm

Therefore, the volume of the first solid is 72 cu.cm and the volume of the second solid is 19 cu.cm

6. Length of each side of cube= 18 cm

Volume of cube= side×side×side

=18×18×18

=5,832 cu.cm

First solid is made up of (6*6) + (6*6) = 72 boxes.

1 box volume = 1 cm³

72 box volume = 72 cm³

Second solid is made up of (15 + 3 + 1) = 19 box

1 box volume = 1 cm³

19 box volume = 19 cm³
