Most of the water in cities and towns is supplied through pipes by the municipal corporation's water distribution system.

First, water is taken from a source of water.

Then it is passed through a process called flocculation water is rotated in a high speed which results in settlement of heavy and big particles in water.
After that, the flocculated water is sent to sedimentation tanks.
Then, It is sent into filtration tanks (Water is disinfected in this process.) .

After that, the filtered water is sent for storage in water storage tanks set up by municipal corporation and then it is distributed to our homes through pipes.
