Density = mass / volume
Given: mass = 50g
Volume = 20 cm^3
Hence density of object = 50/20 g/cm^3 = 2.5 g/cm^3
Now density of water = 1 g/cm^3
We know that if the density of an object is greater than the density of water, it will sink. As we can see here, the object is denser than water (2.5>1). Therefore the object will sink.
