Let,

ABC is an Equilateral triangle.

In which,

=> AB = AC = BC = 24 cm

Now, If there will be Altitude in Equilateral triangle then there will be two Right angled triangle.

Altitude = AD

 => {AD}^{2} = {BD}^{2} + {AD}^{2}

 => {24}^{2} = {12}^{2} + {AD}^{2}

 => 576 = 144 + {AD}^{2}

 => 576 - 144 = {AD}^{2}

 => {AD}^{2} = 432

 => AD = \sqrt{432}

 \bold {=> AD = 20.78 cm}
