Step-by-step explanation:

Considering the distance between parallel sides (h) = 15 m

let one parallel side of the trapezoid be `a` = 10mAnother parallel side be `b` = 25mThe height that is the distance between the parallel sides = 15mArea = [(a+b)/2]h = [(10+25)/2 × 15] m² = [35/2 × 15] m² = [17.5 × 15]m² = 262.5 m²Cost of watering one m² area = Rs 4Cost of watering 262.5 m² area = Rs 1050

Solution:-

  • Please refer to the attachment for figure ✔️

Given:-

  • Two parallel sides AB and CD are 10cm and 25cm respectively.
  • Perpendicular distance AD is 15cm

To find:-

  • Cost of watering @ ₹4/m²
  • Area also

Area of Trapezium/Trapezoid is given by:-

 :➝ \frac{1}{2}  \times( sum \: of \: parallel \: sides )\:  \times height \:  {u}^{2}

Putting the values, we get:-

 : ➝ \frac{1}{2} \times (10 + 15) \times 15 \:  {cm}^{2}

 : ➝ \frac{625}{2}  {cm}^{2}

  • Hence area is 624/2 cm²

Now:-

Area of watering @ ₹4/m²:-

  :↝ ₹\frac{625}{2}  \times 4

 : ↝ ₹ 1250

  • Hence cost watering @ ₹4/m² is ₹1250

Hope it helps you ✔️
