surface area of cube is 6a square
it can be expanded as 2[x square+x square+x square] i just compared the equation with the surface area of cuboid
let the side of the cube x
then,
length=breadth=x
edge becomes x/2+x=3x/2
change in surface area=2[x square+xX3x/2+xX3x/2]
on doing LCM
the final answer 8 x square
