Howdy!!

your answer is ----

Given polynomial is ,
2 {y}^{2} - 7y + 3
and ,
 \alpha \: and \: \beta \: is \: its \: zero
so,
 \alpha + \beta = \frac{ - ( - 7)}{2} = \frac{7}{2} ...(1) \\ and \: \alpha \beta = \frac{3}{2} .....(2)
now ,
(1 + \alpha )(1 + \beta ) \\ = 1 + ( \alpha + \beta ) + \alpha \beta \\ = 1 + \frac{7}{2} + \frac{3}{2} \\ = 1 + \frac{10}{2} = 1 + 5 \\ = 6

hence ,
(1 + \alpha )(1 + \beta ) = 5

hope it help you
