ABB × 999 = ABC123
On comparing the unit digits of LHS and RHS,
B × 9 = 3
The number which is multiplied by 9 which results in unit digit as 3 is only 7.
So, B = 7.
Hence, A77 × 999 = A7C123.
A must be a number which gives the last three digits as 123.
The number satisfies this is 8.
Because, the number is multiplied with 999 which gives the unit digit as 10 minus unit digit of the number and, tens and hundreds digits as 9 - 7 and 9 - A = 1(which gives A as 8), respectively.
So, A = 8.
877 × 999 = 876123 = 87C123.
Hence,
A = 8;
B = 7; and
C = 6.
