now,

AB=?

Using pythagoras theorem,    For ΔABD

h^2=p^2+b^2

17=15+b^2

b^2=2

b=√2

∴AB=√2 cm

now,

Perimeter  of trapezium= AB+BC+CD+AD

= √2+12+9+17  =38+√2

Area of trapezium=a+b/2 *h

= 17+√2/2*15

=255+15√2 / 2
