Hello Mate!

109. So, circumference of inner circle = 2πr = 440

r = 440 × 7/22 × 1/2

= 70 m

Circumference of outer circle = 506 m

R = 506 × 7/22 × 1/2

R = 23 × 7 × 1/2

R = 80.5 m

So, area if race track = πR² - πr²

= π( R² - r² )

= π( R + r )( R - r )

= 22/7 ( 80.5 + 70 )( 80.5 - 70 )

= 22/7 × 150.5 × 10.5

= 4966.5 m²

Cost of carpeting = 4966.5 × Rs 20

= Rs 99,330

Hence option (C) is correct.

110. Curved surface area of cylinder = 2πrh = 264 m²

264 / 2 = πrh

132 = πrh

Volume of cylinder = πr²h = 924 m³

πrh × r = 924 m³

132 × r = 924

r = 7 m

So, πrh = 132

22/7 × 7 × h = 132

Height = 132 / 22 = 6 m

Hence option (C) is correct.

Have great future ahead!
