By the formula (a-b)^2= a^2-2ab+b^2 we can get

(√ x -√ y )^2 = (√x)^ + (√ y)^2 -2√xy

(√ x -√ y )^2 = x +y -2√xy

Since we have to find the square root of The RHS

Therefore the square root is

√ x -√ y is the answer

Option (b) is correct
