Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Two given vertices (-2, -3) & (-2, 3) of triangle are two fixed points (treat as loci) & third vertex is a parametric point which moves in such a way that the sum of its distances from two fixed vertices (-2, -3) & (-2, 3) remains constant=20–6=14.

This satisfies the condition of locus of an ellipse by treating two given vertices (-2, -3) & (-2, 3) as loci & third vertex as a parametric (tracing) point sum of whose distances from foci remains constant.

let third side be k

perimeter of triangle = sum of all sides

7x^2 - 17xy + 5y^2 + 8 =

(4x^2 +7xy + 4y^2 -3) + k +(x^2-8xy+6y^2+5)

7x^2-17xy+5y^2+8 = 5x^2-xy+10y^2+2+k

k = 7x^2-5x^2-17xy+xy+5y^2-10y^2+8-2

k = 2x^2-16xy-5y^2+6

Hope it helps
