Answer:

i) 130° = b + 70° (exterior angle property)

b = 130°- 70°

b = 60°

a + b + 70° = 180°(Sum of all the sides of triangle)

a + 60° + 70° = 180°

a = 180° - 130°

a = 50°

ii) 140° = x + x(exterior angle property)

2x = 140°

x = 140°÷2 or 140/2

x = 70°

(i)

Using Exterior angle property ,

  \angle \: a\:   + 130° = 180° \\ \angle \: a = 180 °  - 130° \\ \angle \:a = 50°

Using Sum of angles in a ∆ property,

  \angle \: b\:   + 70°  +  50°  = 180° \\ \angle \: b = 180 °  - 120° \\ \angle \:b= 60°

(ii)

Using Exterior angle property ,

  \angle \: x\:   + \angle \: x\:    = 180° \\ \angle \: 2x= 180 °   \\ \angle \:x= \frac{180° }{2}  \\\angle \:x = 90 °
