find the remainder when the value of

p(x) = 2x³ - 3x² - 4x + 5 divided by

g(x) = 2x + 1

so we put g(x) = 0 to find the value of x

= 2x + 1 = 0

= 2x = -1

= x = -1/2

Now , put the value of x into p(x)

= 2(-1/2)³ - 3(-1/2)² - 4(-1/2) + 5

= 2×-1/2×-1/2×-1/2 - 3×-1/2×-1/2 - 4×-1/2 + 5

= -1/4 - 3/4 + 2 + 5

= 24/4 = 6

this question is done by remainder theorem
