Area of garden excluding crossroads = Area of rectangle-area of crossroads
= 500*250 - 5936
= 125000 - 5936
= 119064cm²
b)Area of crossroads = 8*500+(8*250) - Are which is overlapping
= 4000+2000-(8*8)
= 6000-64
=5936m²
