Given :-

• AB ll DC . (without this we can find any value.)
• ∠BAD = 52°
• ∠DCE = 40°
• ∠CED = x° .

To Find :-

• value of x ?

Solution :-

since AB || DC, and AD is a transversal .

so,

→ ∠BAD = ∠ADC {Alternate interior angle.}

→ ∠ADC = ∠EDC = 52° .

now, in ∆EDC, we have,

→ ∠ADC + ∠DCE + ∠CED = 180° . (Angle sum Property)

→ 52° + 40° + x° = 180°

→ 92° + x° = 180°

→ x° = 180° - 92°

→ x° = 88° (Ans.)
