Here, as per the provided question we will have to find that, how far is the screen from the Object

⟼ Magnification of the image = -3

⟼ Object placed in the front of mirror = -20 cm

⟼ [ (So, now let's find) ] Distance from the image = ?

Hence, let us find the image from the distance = ? (assuming image from the distance = x)

⟼ Magnification = Image (v) / Obj. Distance (u)

[ Substituting the values as per the provided formula use for this question to find the solution]

⟼ m = – v / u

⟼ -3 = - v /– 20

⟼ - 3 = v / 20

⟼ v = -60

⟼ (-3 × -20) = 60cm

60cm = [ 60 -20cm]

Here, sign of (-) and (-) will be cut and the sign will come as (+)

⟼ (60 -20)cm = 40cm

Therefore, 40cm far the screen is from the Object.
