Ello..✌✌

Here in the question we are given that the

heat supplied to A at constant pressure since

it has free piston ,

Q(a) = n C(p) ∆T(a)

Heat supplied to B at constant volume since

its piston is fixed ,

Q(b) = n C(v) ∆T(b)

Heat supplied to both a and b is same so,

Q(a) = Q(b)

=> n C(p) ∆T(a) = n C(v) ∆T(b)

n will get cancel out

=> C(p) ∆T(a) = C(v) ∆T(b)

=> ∆T(b) = C(p)/C(v) × ∆T(a)

Value of ∆T(a) is given as ∆T0

We know that, C(p)/C(v) = 5/3

So, ∆T(b) = C(p)/C(v) × ∆T(a)

=> ∆T(b) = 5/3 × T0

=> ∆T(b) = 5 T0/3

Hence, option 4) is the correct answer.

[ a - cylinder A

b- cylinder B

p - pressure

v - volume ]
