Answer:

a)Redox is a type of chemical reaction in which the oxidation states of atoms are changed. Redox reactions are characterized by the actual or formal transfer of electrons between chemical species, most often with one species undergoing oxidation while another species undergoes reduction.

The formation of hydrogen fluoride is an example of a redox reaction. Another example of a redox reaction is the formation of hydrogen fluoride. We can break the reaction down to analyze the oxidation and reduction of reactants. The hydrogen is oxidized and loses two electrons, so each hydrogen becomes positive.

b)Oxygen reacts with carbon to form carbon dioxide. In this, two compounds reacted with each other to form one product. So, it is a combination reaction. Oxidation reaction is a reaction in which we add oxygen.a combination reaction can be a redox reaction. In this reaction there is reduction of oxygen as there is transfer of electrons from hydrogen to oxygen and there is also oxidation of hydrogen as there is acceptance of electrons by oxygen from hydrogen.
