Answer:

 \frac{x - 2}{x - 4}  =  \frac{x - 3}{x + 1}  \\  \\  = (x - 2)(x + 1) = (x - 3)(x - 4) \\  =  {x}^{2}  + x - 2x - 2 =  {x}^{2}  - 4x - 3x + 12 \\  {x}^{2}  \: will \: cut \: each \: other \: so \:  \\ x - 2x - 2 =  - 4x - 3x + 12 \\  - x - 2 =  - 7x + 12 \\ 7x - x = 2 + 12 \\ 6x = 14 \\ x  = \frac{14}{6}  =  \frac{7}{3}

Answer:

by corss multiple

x+1(x-2) = x-3(x-4)

2x -2x +X -2 = 2x -4x -3x +12

like term together

2x -2x + X -2x +4x +3x = 12 +2 (we did transpose method)

6x= 14

x = 14/6

x = 2.3333333
