Answer:

ROOT(2x +9) +x =13

root(2x+9)=13-x

squring both sides

2x+9 = (13-x)²

2x+9=169+x²-26x

bringing terms at right side

0=x²-28x+160

now middle term splitting

and you will get 2 values for x.
