Sn=n/2[2a+(n-1)d]

=n/2[2(8)+(n-1)(-3)]

=n/2[16-3n+3]

=n/2[19-3n]

=(-3n^2+19n)/2

-232=(-3n^2+19n)/2

-232*2=-3n^2+19n

-464=-3n^2+19n

3n^2-19n-464=0

By factorisation we get

n=16

So sum of first 16 terms is -232
