Explanation:

1) cathode -hydrogen

anode-oxygen

2) hydrogen gas is double in volume because for each water molecule, there are two hydrogen atoms but only one oxygen atom

3) hydrogen gas burns with a pop sound, so, if we bring a lit matchstick or an insence stick near both the test tubes, only one will make pop sound and that is of hydrogen. this shows that the test tube at cathode only has hydrogen atoms.
