Radius of the ball= 20 cm

Solution:-

From Fig,

CF=BE=h=5 cm

Radius= OB=OF=20 cm

OC=OF-CF

OC=20-5

OC=15 cm

From that,

DC=OD+OC

DC=10+15

DC=25 cm

DC=AB=25 cm

From Right angled triangle OBC,

By Pythagoras Theorem,

(OB)^2=(BC)^2+OC^2\\\\(BC)^2=(OB)^2-(OC)^2\\\\(BC)^2=(20)^2-(15)^2\\\\(BC)^2=400-225\\\\(BC)^2=175\\\\BC=\sqrt{175} \\\\BC=13.2 cm

By 2^(nd) condition of equilibrium,we have,

∑T=0 (Pivot point is B)

F(AB)-W(BC)=0

F(25)-50(13.2)=0

25F-660=0

25F=660

F=26.4 N
