HEY MATE !!

YOUR ANSWER !!

(i)

First two hours :

acceleration =  \frac{v - u}{t} \\

For first two hours :

v = 40 km/hr

u = 0 km/hr

t = 2hrs

acceleration =  \frac{40 - 0}{2}  \\

acceleration = 20 km/hr²

Next Two Hours :

0 because there is not any increase in speed.

Last Two Hours :

v = 0

u = 40 km/hr

t = 2hrs

acceleration =  \frac{0 - 40}{2}

acceleration = -20 km/hr²

(ii)

Total distance covered by car = Area of Trapazium ABDE

Total Distance = (AE + BD) × BF/2

Total Distance = (8 + 4) × 40/2

Total Distance = 12 × 20 = 240 km

(iii)

Average Speed of Car = Distance / Time = 240 / 8 = 30 km/hr

HOPE IT HELPS !!
