Here:

(a) u = 15m/s.

v = 0 m/s (at highest pt.)

a = -10 m/s^2 (it is negative since velocity and acceleration are in opp directions.)

v^2 - u^2 = 2as.

0 - 225 = 2 x -10 x s.

Hence, s = -225 / -20

s = 11.25m. (Max height reached)

(b) v = u + at

0 = 15 + (-10) x t

t = 15 / 10

t = 1.5 s.
