a=5 m/s²

t=8sec

Distance covered by the car in 8 sec

s=ut+1/2at²

s=1/2×5×64

s=5×32

s=160m

velocity of the car after 8sec,

v=u+at

v=5×8

v=40m/s

Distance covered by the car in next 4 sec

v=d/t

d=v×t

d=40×4

d=160m

Total distance covered by the car in 12 sec

=160+160

=320m
