To represent any rational numbers,follow these steps -

  • Firstly,make a number line and spot the numbers.
  • If the number is positive it will lie on the right side of 0 and if the number is negative then it Will lie on the left side of 0.
  • Then,if it is proper fraction( like 1/6,2/5) ,then it will lie between 0 and 1.And it is negative and proper too then it will lie between 0 and -1.
  • After that, notice the denominator 1/6 then we will divide it into 6 equal parts.( We shall do same with other ones).
  • Then you can easily represent the rational numbers on the number line.
