Step-by-step explanation:

in triangle OPQ OQ is hypotenuse

given OP = 7 and OQ - PQ = 1

OQ - PQ = 1. adding PQ on both sides gives

OQ = 1 + PQ

by squaring on both sides

OQ² = (1 + PQ)² take this eqn as 1

OQ is hypotenuse ,so OQ² is given as 49 + PQ²

so eqn 1 gives 49 + PQ² = 1 + PQ² + 2PQ

this gives 49 = 1 + 2PQ . this gives PQ = 24

By applying pythagoreus triplet

OQ = 25cm

SinQ = OP / OQ = 7 / 25

Cos Q = PQ / OQ = 24 / 25
