Solution ;

2x - 10/x = 1

=> ( 2x² - 10 )/x = 1

=> 2x² - 10 = x

=> 2x² - x - 10 = 0

Splitting the middle term,

we get

=> 2x² - 5x + 4x -10 = 0

=> x(2x-5)+2(2x-5)=0

=> (2x-5)(x+2)=0

=> 2x-5 = 0 or x+2=0

=> x = 5/2 or x = -2

Answer:

x = -2, 5/2

Step-by-step explanation:

Given Equation is : 2x - (10/x) = 1

⇒ 2x² - 10 = x

⇒ 2x² - x - 10 = 0

⇒ 2x² - 5x + 4x - 10 = 0

⇒ x(2x - 5) + 2(2x - 5) = 0

⇒ (x + 2)(2x - 5) = 0

x = -2, 5/2

Hope it helps!
