A sum of money becomes Rs. 2240 at the rate of S.I. in 2 years and Rs. 2600 in 5 years. Find the sum.

 \huge \sf {\orange {\underline {\pink{\underline{Answer :-}}}}}

\sf\mapsto\red{Principal + interest ~for ~2 years }

\sf\mapsto{= 2240   ---------1}

\sf\mapsto\red{Principal + interest~ for ~5 years}

\sf\mapsto{ = 2600   --------2}

\sf\purple{Subtracting ~1~ from ~2 }

\sf\mapsto{ 2600 - 2240 = 360}

\sf\mapsto{Interest for three years = 360}

So interest for 1 year

\sf\mapsto\dfrac{360}{3}{=120}

\sf\mapsto\blue{Interest ~for ~2 ~years }

\sf\mapsto{ 2 x 120 = 240}

Principal for 2 years \sf{= 2240}

Interest for 2 years =\sf{ 240}

\sf\fbox\green{Principal = 2240 - 240 = 2000}
