Let us assume that, ajay gets Rs.7x and sanjay gets Rs.11x .

so,

→ sanjay gets - ajay gets = Rs.6000

→ 11x - 7x = 6000

→ 4x = 6000

→ x = Rs.1500

A sum of money is to be distributed between Ajay and Sanjay in the proportion of 7 : 11 respectively. Sanjay gets ₹ 6000 more than Ajay. How much did Ajay get?

EVALUATION

Here it is given that a sum of money is to be distributed between Ajay and Sanjay in the proportion of 7 : 11 respectively

Let amount of money for Ajay = ₹ 7x and amount of money for Sanjoy = ₹ 11x

Again Sanjay gets ₹ 6000 more than Ajay.

So by the given condition

11x - 7x = 6000
