Both the stones will reach the surface of earth at the same time.

The mass of first stone = 50 g

The mass of second stone = 500 g

If they are released from same height, then while reaching to Earth, Law of Gravitation will act between the Earth and the each of the stones.

According to the law,

F= G \frac{Mm}{r^{2} }

Here, F is the Force of attraction acting between the Earth and the stone

G = Universal Gravitational Constant

M= Mass of earth

m= Mass of the stone

r= height from where the stones are released.

Acceleration due to gravity acting on each of the stones is

\frac{F}{m} = g = G\frac{M}{r^2}

which depends only upon the mass of the Earth only, not on the mass of the stone.

Time required will be calculated from the following equation,

h = \frac{1}{2} gt^2

h= height, t= time

So, time is also independent of the mass of the stone.

∴ The two stones will reach the surface of the earth on same time.
