Hello mate,

Here is your answer,

We know area of trapezium =

 \frac{1}{2} h(sum \: of \: its \: parallel \: sides)

Area = 252 sq.cm

Height = 14 cm

Ratio of parallel sides = 7:5

Let the sides = 7x and 5x,

By using the above formula we get,

252 =  \frac{1}{2}  \times 14(7x + 5x) \\  \\ 252 = 7(12x) \\  \\ 252 = 84x \\  \\ x = 3

Now as we got the 'x' value, we need to find the parallel sides,

The sides are:-

  • 7x

= 7 x 3

= 21 cm

  • 5x

= 5 x 3

= 15 cm

OPTION (1) IS REQUIRED ANSWER

Hope it helps:)
